Put on your cape and cowl and join us for our Superhero Pub Crawl as we remember and celebrate our nation's true heroes, our Veterans.
There is a $25 entrance fee to participate in this night of fun, excitement, and adventure. All proceeds from this event will help us in our efforts to support returning combat Veterans and their families through reintigration, rehabilitation, and therapeutic healing. Participants in the Pub Crawl will receive drink specials, free food, and raffle tickets for a chance to win one of several marvelous prizes.
All participants will meet at the Ancient Order of the Hibernians before departing to each pub. Participating bars will be Katie O'Byrnes, Bombers Burrito Bar, 20 North, and Pinhead Susan's.
During the Pub Crawl there will be a scavenger hunt, where participants will have a chance to meet The Avengers as well as defeat the Asgardian God of mischief, Loki, earning themselves bragging rights as well as a chance to win our special "Avengers Assemble" gift basket, which will include two movie tickets that can be used to go see Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
After the festivities have concluded participants will be taken back to the Ancient Order of the Hibernians for free food and the announcement of our raffle winners. Free cab rides will also be available at this time, courtesy of Martin Harding and Mazzotti, LLP.

The New York National Guard Job Zone was established in November 2011 to provide a single source point of contact to facilitate the distribution of employment opportunities throughout the State of New York to our Service Members and their Families. The sources of employment come from federal, state, and civilian employers who seek the attributes associated with military service. It is also the duty of the NYNG Job Zone to partner with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Program, Department of Labor (DOL) and the wide array of civilian employers who seek the talents of our Service Members.
The Mission of the New York National Guard Job Zone
The New York National Guard Job Zone’s primary mission is to serve as a focal point for job opportunities for our Service Members throughout New York State and facilitate employer partnering with our program, through posting of job fairs and individual employment opportunities on our website, face to face and electronic communication with employers and a constant liaison with the Department of Labor and the NYESGR Committee.
The Vision of the New York National Guard Job Zone
The goal of the New York National Guard Job Zone is to increase the number of employed, decrease the number of underemployed Service Members and their Families, and build a robust network of private businesses in support of Service Members and their Families throughout New York State. Over one million Service Members are projected to leave the military between 2011-2018. This single data point underscores the importance of linking Veterans to critical support and outreach sources. VA's new Hotline For Women Veterans
The Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a new hotline—1-855-VA-WOMEN (1-855-829-6636) — to receive and respond to questions from Veterans, their families and caregivers about the many VA services and resources available to women Veterans. The service began accepting calls on March 27, 2013.
“Some women Veterans may not know about high-quality VA care and services available to them,” said Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki.
Is Online Learning Right for You?
"According to the National Center for Education Statistics, 38 percent of students who enrolled in higher education are over 25 years of age. Many must balance school with working full-time and raising a family. Life is different for these adult students.
But is online learning for everyone? And how does a student determine if it is a good fit for them?"
